Today was a challenging day as we had to work with a tight location while dealing with the summer heat. Our location was a surveillance van, and once our set and actors were in place there was much room left for camera and lighting! But what our team was able to do with a small space was inspiring. All it took was a little ingenuity and a lot of literal sweat.
Fortunately, we had a staging/holding room that allowed us to escape the heat throughout the first half of the day, then after lunch we were off to a different location where we spent the rest of our time creating marketing content for the eventual film release.
The photo shoot/interview session was not only enjoyable for the air conditioning but for the camaraderie between the cast and crew. We got all the great marketing assets we needed and had a little fun as well. One of the best parts of the day was that we were joined by a new (though not really) cast member: Scarlett Bella Song played Dot's school rival Pamela Mondy. Even though she plays a very contemptible character, Scarlett is one of the sweetest young women and a joy to be around.
